In the name of God, Amen, I John Coy, of Gloucester,
in the County of Essex, in Massachusetts Bay, in New England, Being in a
weakened condition______________ Mind and Memory, Praised be God for this,
_______________ Last will and testament in manner and form Follow
__________________ I recommend my soul into the hands of the almighty___________
heavenly Father and my body I commit to the earth to be descently burried
at the discretion of my Executors herein after named. In hopes of ___________
. Through the prevailing merits and ___________ all such worldly goods
& estates wherein it has pleased God to bless me, I depose whereof as
followeth, viz:
I order and appoint that my homestead (where I am living), consisting of
a dwelling house, barn and out houses, orchard and garden and 30 acres of
land thereunto _____adjoining and all other _____land rights in Gloucester
shall be sold & disposed of by my executors at the best advantage as
soon as conveniently may be after my decease, and all my debts, fines (?),
and expenses to be paid & discharged by them, on/of the produce there
of (with all convenient & speed), and the remainder of the money arising
by such sale to be placed out by my executors upon sufficient (?) security
and the interest thereof to be paid by them quarterly to my dear & loving
wife, Sarah Coy, towards her support and maintenance for and during the term
of her natural life, as long as she shall continue my widow.

I give and bequeath unto my said wife stock, lands & chattels whatsoever
within doors and without to be disposed of (at the discretions of my executors)
for her use and benefit after the same manner, excepting hereby I ___________
of my household goods, one standing bedstead, feather bed, clothe
bedding(?) and _____ for the sole use and benefit of my daughter, Hannah
Coy, to make her equal with her sister Mary, who has the like gift bestowed
upon her at the home of her _________ after her marriage with John Gilbert,
Junr.
I give and bequeath unto my said wife, her heirs and assigns forever, all
that part of share of her late father, Capt. John Knight's estate, which
still remains justly due & comes unto me in her right.
I give and bequeath unto my said wife, her heirs and assigns forever one
third part of all my right and interest in my late father John Coye's estate
lyeing and being in Harwich, near Yarmouth, in the county of Barnstable,
and the other two thirds of my said estate I give & bequeath unto my
two daughters, their heirs & assigns forever, to be equally divided between
them.
I give and bequeath unto my said two daughters their heirs and assigns forever
three quarters of a right___________________in the Narraganset Country to
be equally divided between them ___________
I give and bequeath unto my said 2 daughters, their heirs & assigns forever,
all my lands (not otherwise disposed of) and all my common rights throughout
the said towns to be equally divided between them, share and share alike.
I give and bequeath to my said two daughters, their heirs & assigns forever,
two thirds of eleven hundren & eighty acres of land lyeing and being
at Pemaquid joining to New Harbour (so called), to be equally divided between
them, which land belongs to me in partnership with my mother Elisabeth
Knight.
And lastly, I hereby constitute and appoint _____________ of Gloucester aforesaid
_______ my ____________________________ to be the sole executors of this
my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me heretofore
made and declaring this to be my last will and testament. And I do hereby
further order and appoint that all such security and securities (as shall
be taken by my said executors for _________ money to be ____________ for
the benefit of my ssaid wife aforesaid) shall immediately from or after decease
or second marriage ( which shall first happen) be made over & equally
divided between my two daughters, their heirs & assigns. And I further
order my said executors to pay unto my sister Audrey (?) Coy the sum of fifteen
pounds within twelve months after my decease. In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seale this twenty eighth day of September in the eighth year
of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George of the Second King of Great Britain,
anno domini 1734.
